I'm a fifteen year old varsity baseball player. Recently I have been doing certain excercises meant for strictly pitching. Overall I feel stronger and i certainly see the results on the ball field. The problem is I dont see any results in my body shape/definition. I'm 6'0 150 lbs, pretty damn skinny. I consider myslef strong for my weight but would like to be much stronger as well as have a much more defined bulked up body. I'm joining a gym over the summer but I wouldnt really knwo what to do. I need an excersie plan. I am intersted in taking supplements such as Creatine, but do not know the correct doses, or the medical risks, if there are any at all. Maybe there are other supplements that would be better for me. My goal is to be 6'1 (the way im growing that should be no problem) 175-180 lbs. I do not know if that is realistic but that would be ideal. Can someone reply with an information they have that they think would be a help? Thanks a ton

Start with the basics... If you wanna get bigger you need to work your major muscles, not just specific ones. The more muscles used, the more your body will grow in response. So squats, benches and deadlifts are essential. Don't get in over your head too quick with a bunch of isolation excercises. After a week or two of the basics (when you're confortable) start adding more excercises.

Diet is the most important part of any training. Start by reading bb1fit's list of good foods in the diet forum. Go for a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. Protein powders are a big help with this and you can find great deals on vitaglo.com.

You don't *need* creatine to start with, since just about anything will add size in the beginning. Later on a creatine ethyl ester would be the way to go as it is more effective than the usual creatine monohydrate.

Try using the free FT mass program by filling out a little info on yourself. If you're eating right and working hard you will achieve your goals.

Use the fitbuddy search below for any more questions, or if you can't find something, just ask.

Good luck!

in addition to what lifter_puller said above.. i think u shud not use creatine at this age.. as at this age ur body is generating, and will generate it according to ur needs.. protein powders are good to get to ur protein target..

Is going from 6'0 150 to 6'0 175-180 over 2 and a half months working out 4-5 days a week realistic?

if u want to gain weight.. eat lots of clean food.. and i mean CLEAN food..

its not workout which makes u big.. its the rest.. so if u want to gain weight.. cut all the cardio.. just train 3 times a week.. giving plenty of time in between workouts..

one thing.. u might get a bit of fat also.. but that can later be removed by doing a cutting diet...

now is 2.5 months enough?.. i don't know.. every person is different.. maybe someone else can give u better suggestion on this...

hope i helped...
