I have a curious question about PWO Shakes
After I work out, I take a supplement called Cell Mass. It says to not take any shakes for about 30 minutes after you work out. I have been following its directions, but after reading some other posts, I have a curious question about this.
30 minutes after my workout now, I take one Xplode shake which has a lot of carbs, and one Myoplex Protien Shake which has a lot of protien. Should I change this, or is this alright?

sbroyhill.. first of all. you have to tell us what ur current status is.. how long have u been working.. what is ur diet during the day...
as far as PWO shakes are concerned.. whey protein is the best with water post workout.. cuz it is the fastest absorbing protein.. cannot tell u anything more until i know more about ur current status.. maybe someone with more knowledge will be able to help u out...

what are the ingrediants in cell mass? I would opt for a whey protein siolate, such as nectar by syntrax or Optimum. Do a search on insulin spiking, you will get all the information you need to know on what to do PWO.

How long have you been working out? I think you shold dump the cell mass and get some why protein isolate and some malto and dextrose

I also take whey protien but take it about 30 minutes after I work out. Which brings us back to the original question: Should I wait the 30 minutes after taking the CEE, or such I just go ahead and take the shakes?
I don't want to dump the Cell Mass because it seems like it is helping a lot, and I have read a lot about the benefits of CEE. Why would it tell me to wait the 30 minutes?
And I have been working out for about 7 years, but only recently have I been adjusting my diet and workout to a mass building stage, since I want to try and get bigger. Before when I worked out my goal was to simply not get fat :)

There is a window of oppurtunity of about 30-40min. after you wrokout. You want to take your shake as quickly as possible after working out. I don't wait less than a minute to cunsume my shake. chug half immediately then sip the rest for up to about an hour. Working out fo 7 years is a pretty long time, what would you consider your knowledge level on diet and nutrtition? Cause once you get that down your results will really start to show and you be able to shape and mold your body. gl
