i planned on doing 3x exercises with 3 sets each for bis, and then 3x exercises with 3 sets of tris on mondays and thursdays... do you think i should just do this routine once a week?... my football coach makes us do his workout (Bfs) basically its 4 cores 3 days a week with just leg and chest auxillaries...ex: bench press, squat monday then leg auxillaries...power clean, deadlift, wed then leg auxilaries... now my problem with that workout is that it doesnt include every muscle group (lats arms shoulders etc)... so what ive done is do lats shoulders traps etc. 3 days a week (only one exercise)... but my arms arent really responding to this... so i was just wondering if thats doing that routine mond and friday is too much and i shud just do it on like fridays or something... thx

sounds good.. i wouldnt go over 9 or 10 sets for bis/tris each a week.. as they are a smaller muscle group. the larger muscle groups (ie back, legs, etc.) respond to more, like maybe 12- 15 sets/week.

if you see no progress thid way, then go just once a week.
and if this doesnt work, go heavier

i'd say go heavier........and workout once a week on the arms.
thing is clean uses it all.....so do deadlifts. I'd do my shoulders and lats on my own.....and one or 2 excercises for arms.
Cause to be a footbalplayer you don't need big arms......just speed, agility, power.....depending on your posiston.

I Personally dont think your over training the arms,if your Biceps are still sore when you go to train them, then dont do it,give your arms three days apart before training them again,or maybe do one workout light and the other heavy, experiment with your Body...

I'd work my tris...2x a week before I would biceps......thing is blue he need functional muscle....not "look pretty" muscle. Ig he want to be a bodybuilder ..fine.....however his game in football my suffer. Theres strength training.....then theres bodybuilding.
