First, does the time of day you work out make THAT big of a difference? I know you are suppose to in the morning, but if you do it in the afternoon does it really make a difference? Second, I read on here where you cannot start to see a differenc in your abs until you lose the layer of fat on top of the muscles. So do you work on losing the fat with cardio and THEN do the ab workouts or do them at the same time? Next, in order to lose that fat, I know I have to change my diet but I am afraid to do that because I am nursing a baby and you are suppose to have a higher calorie intake than normal. Any suggestions with that one? Last, this is the 4th day I have been working out and I am not sore, does that mean I am not doing enough weight or reps? When I am actually doing the lifting, I don't feel like I can do anymore, but at the same time, I haven't been sore the following day like I thought I would be. I actually have more questions, but I think that is enough for now.

I don't think it really makes that much of a difference when one works out... it's really whatever works best for you, just do it.

Not sure how to answer the second questions, especially since you are nursing. My guess is not to worry about it too much till you are done nursing.

And, lastly, you don't have to feel sore the next day to have had a good workout... I can do some exercises to exhaustion and not have soreness, but no matter how I work my legs, I always seem to have some the next couple of days.

Hope that helps...

on the second question - you only need an extra 500 calories - add that to the amount that the nutrition part says you need.

make sure you feed the baby before you workout

You should still work your abs while losing the weight. If you have already developed the abs once the fat comes off you will see them. So dont wait, start now!

Good luck

First off, don't do anything drastic while nursing your baby....to disrupt your hormonal balance....consult with a physician as to what s/he recommends....

The later in the day that you workout...the less time to warm up you need...because your metabolism is higher later in the day....

You build abs by doing weight training and then losing body fat in general through a caloric deficit to make them visible....(through cardio and or nutrition).......

Muscle soreness does not necessarily relate to the effectiveness of your workouts...as long as you max out at the suggested reps...some people don't experience soreness...
