My first competition is about 8 days away. And I remember watching that true life program on MTV about the bodybuilder. I enjoyed it. Well in one part, he was shown shaving his entire body. Well im not the hairiest guy around, but i do have some hair around my lower legs. Okay, my question is, do bodybuilders shave before a competiton?

i think alot of them do nowadays.. it gives the skin a smoother and cleaner appearance, and makes muscle more visible
be careful you dont nick yourself, so do it slow. maybe before your next competition shave a few weeks before, and periodically touch up. then if you nick yourself, your body will have time to heal

Yes, you must shave. The lights are bright on stage, and with your oil, even the littlest hair will stand out. You want the judges to see your physique, not drawn away by hair. Besides, hair will hide/take away from the cuts you worked so hard to achieve.

Yes I confirm, get a shave and your skin will look a lot better. :)
