Is this a good idea. My girl asked me if she could start working out with me. I am cool with thge idea but has anyone got any advice or experience with working out with your girl?

I have been working out with my wife for quite a long time. Works well, we use different weights of course, but it is nice doing it together.

I loved it when my husband worked out with me. He gave me some great pointers and we kept each other motivated.
I just wish he would start up again, I do miss him not working out with me.
And it wasn't anything bad that got him away from it, we both stopped and I am now back into lifting and he isn't at this point.

More couples should workout together...My husband and I love going to the gym together...we help motivate each other...plus we often eat dinner there as they make great healthy food...and besides that would be an extra 2+ hours apart...so we love it...Days we don't work together he picks me up at work and we head directly there...
We generally follow the same workout just use different weights.

I'd say depends........if you can get in and get out.....without hugging, smouchins, playing grab ass in the gym or without alot of excessifly talking.
also on how long you been going out, 1 or 2 months......i'd so no......might be a lil to much time together.
personally working out is MY time, no one elses.....even if I see someone I know, I don't talk to them....cause i'm there to workout. I may node or aknowledge them, but thats about it.

I love working out with Ron, except for one thing, He has trained me to spot him and sometimes I get really scared that I can't lift what he lifts. OHHHHHHHHH That can be a workout in itself. Have fun with her it can be nice

i think it depends on wich stage of the realationship you are. if you are going to be kissing and talking all the time, i will say no, even if it is good. but if you have passed that horny stage ...LOL.... then i think it could be healthy for the couple so they get into what they both like and get to know each other in a all new way.

I agree with kakaroto, if your going to be kissing the whole time no.. In other words, if it's going to cause you to not get half out of your workout as you would due to social purposes no. But if both of you are just wanting to go to give each other pointers or to integrate one into weight lifting, then yes. I personally don't take my fiance to the gym when I work out, she talks too much and gets me side tracked, and she knows that's why. However, she wants to go so I take her seperately, this way you can focus more on helping her/him rather than focusing on your work out. This is what works well for me.

kakaroto-
I hope my husband and I never get past the horney stage, that would be very sad in my opinion.
We still kiss alot and hug, etc. after 10 years together. And we never did that while lifting, tho after wards he did get a good pat on the butt.
