I have been taking Creatine for a little over a week now and I have noticed I have ended up with INSANE DOMS after I work each body part. In the past I never really got them or they were very mild so I would like to know why the Cratine would make it so much worse.
On a side note this isn't really a complaint since I almost enjoy them. It makes me feel like my workouts were super effective but I am curious why the sudden and dramatic increase in soreness.
Many thaks!

maybe you are working harder.. creatine is meant to help you drive out those last few reps, which have the biggest effect on muscle growth..

You may be right. I have noticed that I seem to "recover" faster and can sometimes finish sets where before I would be able to do only a partial final set. Hard to imagine this amount of soreness (muscles are sore to the touch) coming from a few extra reps though.
I didn't realize that the Creatines' effects would be so quick and wonder if it is psychological.

i would think that with many supplements there would be a psychological impact.. and if you think about it, pushing the last few reps when your muscles are totally fatigued is going to cause the most damage to your muscles, thus the most pain in my opinion
