Spirullina/Chlorella protein

Just wondering if anyone has tried using these sea water algae protein supplements...I saw claims that chlorella is a complete protein source and has very good absorbtion....just wondering how true it is...couldn't find good 3rd party website to verify these claims...my friend told me of these supplements he started taking...

I have read a couple things of UC Berkley website saying both of these supplements are scams...

but they are evaluating them based on certain claims...while I am just trying to see how they are as protein supplements.....my friend is a vegetarian now so that's how he came to these 2 supplements....however he's pretty ignorant on supplements or healthy eating so again I am very skeptical.....

it's a 30 page online book supposedly explaining the benefits of the two supplements...my friend is so bent on it....hegave me that site....so i am just reading through it...heh
