I've just finished the 8-week Mass Program and thought I'd report my results. I gained a "net" 4 pounds (184-188 lbs), though I'm sure I exchanged some body fat for muscle, I am much more defined in addition to having gained size - mostly legs, chest, and arms. I gained in strength, from 20-50% on most exercises, though this is a little skewed since I work out at 2 different gyms and travelled for work so hit another 6 gyms during the 8 week - and all have somewhat different equipment.
I stuck to the program strictly, only modifying when I couldn't get a prescribed piece of equipment. Most workouts were an 45 minutes to an hour.
What I liked: #1 - The results - also learning or relearning some exercises and equipment, forced record keeping, and progress charts - when they work, the comments like, "you look great" and "what are you on?"
What I didn't like: I've been at some stage of sore for 8 weeks - well maybe I like that anyway.
Thanks to FreeTrainers - now on to the next 8-week program.
