I was doing squats today, and trying to hit a new SRM (again). While doing my squats I had a lot of pressure in my back, and is was quite uncomfortable. I should mention that my squats have been increasing much greater than my deadlifts.... should I cut back on increasing my squats until my deadlift catches up and my back is stronger?
(FYI, I hit a new squat SRM of 294 today, while my deadlift still lags at only 222)
With the squats and dl's the only help I can offer is to keep your back straight and head up. ALso helpfull to theese lifts to help the back is breathing practice. take deep breaths but dont let your shoulders rise make your stomach go out instead. Then when your lifting do this take a deep breath and push out the your tummy. This will help create greater interabdominal pressure to stabilize your back.
