I'm trying to find an alternative for breakfast . Trying to switch my diet up in hopes of triggering some fat loss. That said is there any other awesome breakfast foods that are different than the staple oatmeal and egg whites, that's just as good for you? or maybe cutting back my oatmeal from 1 cup to 1/2 cup and adding something else in to make up for the lost calories. I think the egg whites are fine but i can't really think of anything to replace them with, thats as lean and pure protein as they are. I was thinking of may some hashbrowns made from sweet tater's or something like that for carbs. Any ideas would be much appreciated:dumbbell:

I know it might sound kind of gross but I put some cottage cheese in my oatmeal after it is cooked, then add a little splenda. Makes it kind of creamy and a different texture.

I like lean turkey burgers for breakfast. Or lean ground turkey in with my egg whites and veggies.

so very true amy, because i people always aske me if i'm eating lunch or dinner when i'm at work and i never yes because it's not now I know to say it's just a meal. I like the sound of beans, maybe a healthy bean burrito, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with beans, eggwhites and some ground beef or ground turkey would probably be the healthier choice. Oh yeah are refried bean bad? they just tatse so goood! Thanks for the ideas.

Is there any other cheese that is considered good besides cottage cheese? Like ricotta or something that I could put in my breakfast burrito?

If gaining, this is great, but if cutting, maybe you can just cut the portion size.
Take a cup of brown rice, and add almond milk. Let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, add 1 scoop of chocoalte protein(or more if you desire), and cut a banana in slices on top. It is pretty awesome. -------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

That does sound good Ron, isn't that a bit too much surgar? But I guess in the morning tha would be the time to have it. I'm going to try that this week for my breakfast and will let you know what I think, it sounds like i'll like it.

I checked and my 3 oz. of steak only has 143 calories and 25g. of protein and only 4g. of fat, do you still suggest i swap out the steak for chicken or fish? Well I got the brown rice and almond in the fridge for tomorrow morning. I noticed that it cut ot my protein and replaced it with carbs, is this good because carbs are protein sparing?

Well, what would you rather eat...3 oz. of food or 6 oz. If the 3 oz. fills you up, then fine.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

I mix it with a splenda and some cinnamon. Check out the recipe thumb tac, I have a post about various ideas for oatmeal like apple pie oatmeal which is just delicious. By the way Ron eating the rice and almond milk right now. Your right it is quite tasty especially with the muscle milk peaches and mangos.
