Is this neccesary for good results?

My goal is to lose fat and gain lean muscle....
My diet is a work in progress and will be the hardest part. Sucks that it is also the most important!

Would it be OK to mix the Whey Protein with soy milk?
Should I just drink one shake a day, within an hour of my workout?

Yikes! So much info to sink in! :)
TIA!

Try doing a fit buddy search on the bottom of the screen. Whey protien has been discussed many times...

But to answer your question- yes whey protien will help you get good results if used properly and with a good diet program. Try taking a whey protien shake after each of your workouts.

And there have been many debates on the soy milk subject. I personally don't use soy milk, so I can not answer that question for you.

However, you should not take the whey protein with the milk after your workout because the casein protein in the soy milk will slow down the absorption of the whey protein in the muscles which is not a good idea. What you want is to get protein into the muscles as quickly as possible and the Protein in the milk will only slow it down. It would be a good idea to mix it with the milk before bedtime so that you will have protein in your body throughout the night.
