Does anybody know the nutrition facts of a Striped Bass? (I think that's what it was) Does it have a high fat content? I ate some of this and it tasted very good I would like to continue to eat this fish, but I'd really like to know the nutrition facts of the food. What would be better, eating lean meat, or eating baked fish caught from the lake?

Fresh fish and lean meat are all good choices. Up here in NY on lake ontario they put suggested limits on the amount of fresh water fish eaten. There is a high level of contaminants in the water here :(

Oh I see. Thanks for the post. There probably is a high level of contaminants here as well. I'm fishing from a lake that is near one of them power plants and my dad said something about there being radiation in the fish or something like that. Just the other day I thought I found oil floating in the water as well. I'm not really sure if it was oil though. Will you be able to smell it if it were oil?

Oil on water usually look sludge like or has a rainbow looking affect to it.

Just call your local Fish and Wildlife office and they can tell you if there is a recommended consumption limit for any freshwater river or lake in your area.
I wouldn't worry about the oil. I would be more concerned about Mercury and other contaminants that can't be seen.
