Hey I'm new and am perusing the board. I have a question for you ladies! I started a cycling class recently (meets 3 mornings a week) and I love it. I have a slight problem though. It kills my pelvic bones. I got shorts that are padded for riding and it does help, but I still feel bruised for a day after class.
The seats are not adjustable in the tilt and they are narrow. Is theres some kind of padding that is more rigid or more protective? I got the thickest padded shorts available!
I'm new to this indoor bike thing! My bike has an old-lady-gel seat on it. (Well it did before it was stolen. :surprised:
Thanks for any help you can give me!!!!

I know exactly what you're talking about! For me personally, I found I only needed to "toughen up" by doing it enough to get used to it. I didn't have any problems after about a week and a half of doing it every other day.

You should get used to it, but if not, you can get padded underwear to wear underneath your shorts, and I think you can also get gel saddles for the indoor bikes.
good luck

I bought a gel saddle for my "spinning" classes and it did help. However, after a couple of weeks I didn't need it anymore. It does hurt like hell at first, but you do toughen up!

Thanks everyone! I was thinking that might be the case, but I was hoping for a less painful answer! LOL I appreciate the input and will tough it out!
