I wanted to put down an "interesting" topic heading so I could get some great answers! Most women will know what I'm talking about, but I would like to firm up the area of my chest (arm?) which pokes out from the side of a bra strap right in front of the armpit. I'm assuming chest exercises would be the correct method, but does anyone out there have any suggestions for targeting that soft spot? I do bench presses, dumbell flies, and pushups mainly for the chest area. Are there any really good isolation exercises out there for that area?? Thanks, Kelly

The exercises you are doing are fine. What gets rid of that spot is mostly just cardio...once you lose enough body fat all over that spot will go also..remember the breast is mad up mostly of fat.. you can do chest exercises and that builds up the mucles underneath..but you have to lose the fat over it...good luck..

Thanks for the reply, but I'm already 16.5% body fat...don't want to go much lower than that. I don't think this is actual breast tissue, it's the muscle that kind of connects the arm to the chest I think. (I wish I knew my anatomy better!) If I flex it, it's firm, but if I don't, it just kind of squishes out and sits there. LOL!!

I totally know what you mean! That little triangle of skin is annoying. If your sportsbra sits just right it's okay but moves in a little...
Try incline bench/fly - it targets the upper chest! Since I've started doing these more regularly the triangle has pretty much gone away. (And if you already do them...*sigh*)

Hmmmmm . . . I don't wear a bra (you'll have to take my word for it), but maybe it's your anterior deltoid? Try some rotator cuff work maybe? I think I'm a little out of my element here . . .

Thanks, Kelly, I'll give the inclines a try. I don't do them as much as I should, so I'll add some more in.

Incline chest press + pec deck is THE way to go! It's really done wonders for targeting that area for me.
Good luck
