for quite a while.
You've changed my life <wink>
But it's true! About a year ago now, I was reading one of your posts about fats, and you mentioned coconut oil being one of the 'healthiest fats'. Like many, I'd been brainwashed that CO was bad, so at the time thought you were nuts <blush> But, being the curious type, (and truth seeking as well) I looked it up to see what you were on about - and you (as you know already) were correct.
The research I found was very convincing. I have been using Virgin Coconut oil since then to cook with - I even use it in place of body lotion (which is usually full of nasty additives)
Once I discovered this new information, I started wondering what other 'facts' were actually incorrect. It turns out many of them were. Myth after myth toppled, and before long our entire lives changed. I branched out and joined a couple of nutrition groups where I still learn somethign new every day. We are so much healthier and happier - and feel so much better about what we eat and how we live. And the food tastes incredible :) It's very different than how anyone here eats, as far as I can tell, but it suits us and our goals.
And to think it all began with Coconut oil :)

glad to help....."conventional wisdom" when the media is involved dies very hard. Glad you approached with an open mind.

bb l fit,
I feel the same way. I'm new here on the board but have worked on myself before. Everything you say makes perfect sense to me and I'm also leaning in your direction with my goals. I saw you elaborate on several things regarding diet and exercise; I like the posts about cardio ... what you say makes perfect sense and I have been on both sides of that coin! Now I know how to incorporate my cardio properly, so THANK YOU!!
