Ive always worked out on an intermediate level. 2 or 3 times a week. Lately Ive been doing cardio after 9pm, for about 30 to 40mins after I finish work. I just wanted to know if this is counterproductive.

I don't think there is a "bad" time to do cardio as long as you are doing it.
The only thing I have found is if I do it late in the evening I have problems getting to sleep.

Yeah
Thats exactly whats happening to me.
I arrive home at eleven and I can easily stay up til 3am in the morning.
the thing is that I have to go back to work at 9 the next day.
Is there something you can do to avoid this while training late hours??

Well you start by getting the largest dose of sleeping pill your doctor will prescribe......
Seriously.... in your case you should try to reset your body schedule to goto bed at 11, and then get up alittle early to do cardio just before you take a shower, unless you don't want anyone to talk to you at work and then just skip out on the shower. :)

I share the same view as pool personally, but everyone is different. I say change it up and try to find the best situation. good luck.
