Hi All.

Has anyone tried the "Rapid Recovery" drink by WorldWide Sports Nutrition? Here is a link to it...

http://www.vitaglo.com/wowi013.html

35 g protein (ion-exchange whey)
25 g carbohydrates
0 fat
10 g Glycerol
5 g Glutamine Peptide
15 mg Vanady Sulfate
0 sugar

Since I haven't found a Whey powder (in water) that I really enjoy, I'm considering this product next.
Please let me know what everyone thinks as a PWO drink.

looks good to me.. ample protein for a PWO shake, and the carbs will help esp. if u are on creatine as well..

if you're looking for another good protein try optimum nutritions 100% whey line.. personally, i find it tastes good, 23 g/serving (i just 1 1/2 servings after a workout) and is relatively cheap.. check out bodybuilding.com for product prices

I am currently using the "Designer" line of whey products and find that I get a little nauseated whey I drink them... especially when mixed with water. I have read that ON is an "isolate" product which should be more palatable than the a "concentrate" product which is what I think Designer is.
I am tossing around both ON and Rapid Recovery as my next purchase... but with ON, don't I have to add other stuff for the insulin spike, or can I just mix it with grape juice (instead of water) for the same effect? Rapid Recovery seems to have the simple sugar aspect covered... but is pricey.

Yes... I can see it has 0 sugar. I meant to say that it has 10g Glycerol which I think helps the protein get to where it has to be.

instead of your grape juice you could invest in maltodextrin and dextrose.. very cheap, and saves u mixing, say chocolate whey and grape juice :surprised:

u dont necessarily need the insulin spike postworkout.. that is more for if you are supplementing with creatine to help shuttle it and spare the whey

I was thinking more like grape and vanilla... My taste buds are not accustomed to such exotic blends as grape and chocolate...

But thanx for the input... Much appreciated
