I mentioned in another thread that I am starting shift work at my job. What this will entail is twice every three weeks I am going to need to stay up for 24+ hours to adjust my sleeping.

My question is: Do I keep eating every few hours? If so I will be getting pretty close to 9 or 10 meals during that day. Should I just shrink my meals and spread them out better? Or should I just keep eating like normal and take in the extra calories?

i would think that you are going to have to increase your caloric intake.. as you will be expending more energy being awake for the full day rather than throwing in a couple of hours sleeping.. hence you will be expending more calories

you'll need more calories...however don't go overboard(maybe add another 500-800 calories)....what kind of a job is it? if you're going to be sitting most of the time ...then cut carbs to a small amount...and eat only complex variety....drink water only throughout the day....don't sabotage the diet with sodas/juices/energy drinks etc....empty calories, which are almost completely sugar....
