So I hadn’t done a regular parallel squat in almost 2 months. For the past two months, most of my leg work has been with thick bar deadlifts, overhead squats, good mornings, and powercleans, lifts that are all great for a grappler. Anyways, yesterday I do 10*3, and I felt great. The squats were heavy, and I felt the weight, but I felt so much more solid underneath it. My torso, my lower back and abdominal muscles, were tight, and my form felt spot on. I didn’t go for any records, but I am sure that next week when I do squats again I will have no problem. Just another example of how other lifts can bring up a lifter’s squat or deadlift. I’ve never felt so strong in the hole, and I can’t wait for next weeks squat session.

The best feeling in the world is the feeling you get after a tough set of squats after you step back from the power rack and throw up all over the floor.
