ok guys i need a back excercise apart from wide chin grips and lat pull downs.

i only hav free wieghts, so any ideas 4 an exercise that will widen and strengthen my back,

Bent over rows with a barbell and one arm rows are good for back.

If you want to work the lower back you can do some straight leg dead lifts.

exactly what pjb said. The only thing I can offer is that you can incline and decline the bench to result in upper and lower back.
