Hey all,

28 year old male from Charlotte here..new to this site but it seems great! How could i have missed it? Anyways i'm 5'7 so im' short...i weight 200...BUT i used to weigh 220 only a year ago. I've lost some weight and am happy...but...my goal is to lose 25 more pounds by the end of the year, and then perhaps 25 more by next summer. Is that too ambitious? I obviously have shown I can lose weight, so i'm not sure if i'm getting ahead of myself.

I am good about what I eat (i can go into detail about this sometime)...I would estimate I usually have 1500-2000 calories per day, but i try to keep it near 1500. I walk about 2.5 miles a day (in about 40-45 minutes) and then do pushups and basic weight training on mon-wed-fri...am i doing things right? should i bother walking everyday? does it matter?
Thanks for any and all advice, and sorry if this sounds stupid...i'm not clueless, really! :)

Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Comgrats on the weight loss!!!

No, you're not being too ambitous (depending on your frame size). I was at 218 at one point and dropped down to 158 & 10% bodyfat. I'm up a bit from there, but that was a little too skinny for me because I am pretty thick. So maybe 50 more pounds is too much, or maybe not, for you.

But remember, as you tack on muscle, you gain weight. So you might not want to be as concerned about poundage as you are about body fat % and just how you look and feel.

Anyway, good luck to ya!
