I was wondering: what are the advantages of working out with freeweights over doing pushups, situps, etc. Right now I do no own any weights, but I hope to get some soon.:dumbbell:

regular military push ups....require you use 58% of your bodyweight.....in freeweights you can go well over your bodyweight...after a certain point push ups just build muscle endurance but are not very good at building muscle or strength....and not as good at building power....(with clap variety)...
