I like them too but when I do too many I get pain in my wrists.... ):

Good exercise for your triceps though!!

And a great workout for your chest when you lean forward a bit.

I love using it for my chest workout. I'll save the dips as the last thing that I do in my chest routine.

I work out at home and don't have a dip bar so I have to put a chair in front of my bench and do them with a weight on my thighs. Still works, but does it hit slightly different muscle groups then? I mostly feel it in my triceps and a little in the stomach. I love doing em though. =)

The only problem I have with the dips you perform london(I used to do it this way as well), is that it puts your rotator cuffs in a compromising position, then with added weight, it multiplies that. Just make sure you are very careful when performing these.

Dips are one of the best exercises you can do for mass in chest and triceps, whether doing them at home or in a gym. I switch off in the gym, but it takes a training partner. As london does them at home, I postition 2 benches so my heels are just on one, and the other postitioned just so when I drop down, my back will not touch the bench on the way down or up. I have my partner(in this case my wife), put 45 lb. plates on my lap, and dip down. Keeping all else "dead", make it like your triceps are the only muscle available in your body, so you have to lift with jsut them. Great pump. And dips with the dip are great for the chest also leaning in a bit, stap a weight around you, and a great chest "finishing" exercise.

I perform narrow arms dips......... the wide arms dips are harder for me so I need to work more on them.....
I our gym, there is a pull-up machine with handles lower for dips............
