last thursday i travelled up to edinburhgh with two friends to take part in the biggest prostest scotland has ever seen, and to show my support for the make poverty history campaign which ran parrallel to the live 8 concerts. a quarter of a million people turned up for the most beautiful and emotional gathering of people i have witnessed in my lifetime. it was the most powerful expierience of my life, and as the video of the poor and dying children in africa played 250,000 people felt the freedom to cry, men, women, children, everyone. it was an awesome expierience that will stay with me to march down the streets of edinburgh with so many other people all wantin the same thing, justice for the people.
then to see the contrast on monday of the riots which i saw first hand when the anarchist and the police clashed was pretty ugly, but it will stick with my too.
a pretty eventful long weekend.
