Its great to have you on board, there are many people here who are willing to give you advice and the motivation to stay with it.
If you are planning on doing the weightlifting routines here be sure to get help from someone who nows proper form or look around on the internet for websites that show proper form and use a mirror to make sure you are doing the routines correctly.
You should get an ok from your doctor before you start any weightlifting routines since you had shoulder surgery and go easy. I think your doctor would want you to be doing some type of light lifting and exercise to get the shoulder back to normal ROM, no pain, etc.
I checked out your profile and believe me there is always hope. First and foremost you have to want to lose weight for yourself not because of others remarks, etc.
Try to maintain a positive attitude while you are losing weight, you didn't put the weight on overnight and its not gonna come off overnight.
Sign up for the nutrition plan if you haven't already and after a ok from your doc get going on a weightlifting routine.
