Looking for my inner motivation

Hi all! I have been looking within myself to find the motivation I need to exercise but I just can't seem to find it. Last October I sprained my ankle pretty bad and have used that as an excuse not to get out and exercise. I know that I can't continue to sit around but I just can't get motivated to do anything. Any ideas are welcome.

Start by writing down what will happen down the road if you don't exercise. A sedentary lifestyle contributes to obesity, depression, many lifestyle related diseases. Imagine yourself feeling heavier, having more difficulty going up and down stairs, not being able to wear your favorite pair of jeans.

Now, write down what can happen if you do get up and exercise - you have more energy, you feel better about yourself, you have to go a buy new favorite jeans because the old ones are too big, you are healthier, happier.

Make these 'stories' convincing and realistic.

Now reread them - which is more appealing to you?

Maybe that will motivate you.
