Hello, I weigh around 153 and im about 6'2 so im quite slim but i used to be 140 less than a year ago when i started working out. I started taking protein since i first started and it seemed to be working but now i seem to gain very little as time goes by. I was wondering if creatine would eb a good option for me? The protein still helps me out but i heard creatine does a much faster job. My goal is to gain about 15-20 more pounds. Thanks!!

I read that you need to take 1 g for every pund of weight you have.. .I weigh 153 and my protein shake is 51g per 4 scoops... that means i have to take atleast 12 scoops a day... r u kidding me? Haha The bottle says to take 2 scoops after working out and 2 before sleep yet i read that u should take it throughout the day. I was told to take a scoop every 2 hrs instead, does this seem right? The protein shake is called monster food. Thanks for the help

You should get most of your protein intake from your food throughout the day. The protein supplement is just that. It is only supposed to supplement your protein intake throughout the day. You shouldn't be getting all your protein from the powder for the whole day. Check out the healthy persons grocery list in the nutrition section for great protein food sources. One very good time to take protein is directly after your workout with either water or a sports drink. Any other time of the day, with milk, is fine. Milk slows down the digestion of the protein so it is not ideal to take your protein with milk post workout. You may have read this already. Hope this clears a few things up.
