Okay so I understand that I should take protein pwo with water and then one before bed with skim or 2 percent milk. But how many grams of protein should I take with each, I currently weight 215 pounds. And don't know if I should take the serving amount given each time or what to do. Some have about 20 grams per serving, but most say use two scoops per serving which is about 50 grams per serving and should I just take that amount each time (pwo and before bed) or what ? please help :dumbbell:

ok. here we go. protein is complicated. there are two main types, cassein and whey. whey is probably what you take now. assuming you workout 4-5 times or more a week this will help you. try to take around 30g protein per serving. too much and your body doesnt know what to do with it. 50g in one serving is too much. take it every 3 hours. that will keep your body working. only exception i would say is to take it before you workout and then right after. always within 45 minutes of the end of your workout.
cassein protein is a slow acting protein, you should take cassein protein before bed. muscle milk is a good cassein/whey combo. and its great right before bed. you weigh 215lbs. try and take 305g protein a day, between food and supplements thats what your body wants. hope this helps guide you in the right direction
