Ok i'm a little confused I was just using body wieght for my squats. but I read that im suppose to used wieght ont he bar. I don't know how much to do. I'm sorta lost on where to start. I don't want to hurt myself to bad. So at 265 what would be a good starting point for squats. I was using body weight when i was at 310 and could do the set of 16 ok.

It doesn't matter where you start as long as you start. You can start out just with the bar but you need to add enough weight so you can do 3 sets with an average of about 10 to 12 reps.
