I think I have reached my potential regarding my current diet. I know that common sense would dictate upping my caloric intake but I already eat what seems like a HUGE amount of food a day.
Examples for each day consists of one item from each group
Protein source = 6 chicken breasts/10 servings Tilapia/ 4 servings Ostrich.
Complex Carbs = 4 servings brown rice/8 potatoes/ 8 servings of pinto beans (call me the gas master LOL!)
Veggies = 3 cans green beans/5 servings broccoli/4 servings peas
Protein shake = 1 time a day using 2 servings
Now according to the labels of each item this makes for a combined total of 2300 - 2500 calories a day with Carb and fat levels actually considerably lower than FT suggests. Somehow I just can't believe that I can eat even more than that and not get fat. For example, I can up my calories by eating 10 potatoes and 8 chicken breasts a day plus the other veggies but that just seems absolutely insane!
Please help me with figuring out where I should go with this.

Wow. That's a lot of food. lol I understand where your coming from. Well, if you're not gaining any fat, then there shouldn't be a problem. Try it out for a couple of weeks and adjust from there if you gained any fat or if you lost weight or whatever. I know you are pretty advanced in health and fitness as I have read some of your recent posts and you are quite knowledgable. Just experiment with your body and see what works for you. If it's not working, change something until it does start to work. Goodluck.

Hey thanks for the kind words!
Honestly I am still what I would consider a newbie and have a loooong way to go before I reach a point where I will be partially satisfied.
I have worked so hard to get where I am that I am reluctant to experiment. I know that I should increase my intake but can't help but think that the amount I already eat is crazy. I would like to hear from others about the quantities and types of foods they eat to see how my diet compares.

Try adding a spoonful of natural peanut butter to a couple of meals. That will bring your calories up a little and and give you some good fat.
What do your macronutrient ratios look like?
What is your curent focus? To gain lean mass or to lose more fat?

You sound like a perfect candidate to follow my diet thread. When you are "plateaued" as you speak, this is where the diet method I spent all that time writing about is worth its weight in gold. Take a read....

Current focus is to gain lean mass. I think I have dropped the majority of my fat (except for my face and a thin layer around my stomach). I have come to the conclusion that it would be more wise to now invest the time building up and then go through the process of losing fat again.
My macro nutrient breakdown is approximately 50% protein, 40% carbs, 10% fat. I just can't convince myself to eat more fat! For years I have went under the assumption that fat intake equals fat storage/clogged arteries. I know this is wrong from what I have read here on FT but the mind has a powerful way of holding on to past notions.
BB1, where is the thread you mentioned located?
As always many thanks in advance!
