In my last post I asked if I was taking in the proper amount of calories. Turns out with my exercise program, I'm probably not. I've been reading around alot, and I know I should be eating 5-6 small meals a day, and trying to eat healthy, but what happens if I'm not hungry? A lot of articles mention that you should listen to your body, but what if it isn't talking? Should I try to eat small meals, even if I am not hungry for them? Will not eating if I am not hungry hurt my muscle gain/weight loss in the long run? I really want to do things right and keep the muscle on and the fat off in the long run.

They don't have to be full meals, a pbt and jelly sandwich (à la bropie) or some nuts, or cottage cheese. The idea is to "up" your metabolism. Someone once wrote that it's like a car ie you gotta put gas in it in order to drive, and the better the gas the better for the car...

When I started eating right and working out I wasn't hungry either. Because I had trained my body not to get hungry, cause I thought that was the way to lose weight. After I started eating 5-6 times a day and reved up my metabolism I found that I would get hungry. You have to retrain your body when you start.
The point in listening to your body is a good one...but first you have to retrain it. It's like training your dog to bark if there's a stranger in the home...if you don't teach him to do that then he won't. Another good analogy for ya lecter.
