A Hassock is a leather footstoole. You sit back on the hassock instead of a box. When you sit on it you will sink a inch or two before it stops you.
To do Anderson or "Suspended" Good AM's, put the bar on safety pins a little lower than your waist, or suspend it from chains. Then get under it, and Good morning it up.

yeah, that is where gator got all the variations. You are right though, GM's weren't posted yet.
