I have been traveling for the last 5+ years and unable to get into any type of a training regiment. Now that Im off the road I have purchased a weight bench and an ready to get started. I am signed up for the free training workout program here on this site and wanted to know if there is anythng else that will help me get into better shape?
Im 32, 6ft 200lbs
I am a former Marine and was in pretty good shape about 10 years ago but now its a bit of a different story.
Any help here would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks...

Also, what is the general census on things like Hydroxy Cut for someone in my position? If its not a good idea then what recomendations do y'all have if any?
Like I said I'm about 15lbs over weight and used to be in pretty good shape about 10 years ago but had a job that took 90% of my time. Now I work from home and have the luxury of time to dedicate to working out regulary.
Again, I really appriciate your help here...

if you are just getting back into things, i think a sound exercise program, lots of rest and a healthy diet would be your best bet. leave supplements out for awhile, until you get things rolling and feel you really need something to move to the next level. keep your protein intake high (about 1- 1.5 gr per lb bodyweight), carbs around 2- 3 gr per lb, and stick with healthy fats b/t 50- 100 gr.
if you've not been working out for 10 years, dont expect to go back to the level you were training at before. its sad but true, you're going to have to work your way up again. but dont get discouraged. i was in the same situ, lost alot of what i had trained and gained, but i really focused on my goals, and here i am, stronger and better than ever.
factor some cardio into your fitness regime as well, about 3- 4 times a week. focus on training harder, as shorter duration, higher intensity sessions will be better for fat loss. good luck getting things going.. and any other q's, you know where to find us

Well I'll tell ya. I dont really know how to count carbs or callories to be honest. So that being said ids there a resource that I can look up to hep me out?
As for the excercise, let me see if I got this right...
1. Dont try to kill myself
2. Be paitent
3. Eat a good bit of meats and beans for protien
4. Even though I want to buld mass I shold still look to get into some type of cardio. Is that right?
5. Train hard but for shorter durrations
6. Stay away from Hydroxy Cut and the like...
7. I get 8 hours of sleep a week as it is, will I need more? or are you refering to taking it easy and not sleep?
Again... thanks alot for your help...
