Hello everybody!

My right thigh is over an inch larger than my left thigh. I have always had a muscular build, and I assume it's muscle mass, but I have also gained a considerable amount of weight (appx. 20 lbs) in the last two years, so it could also be an odd distribution of fat. I would like to know your opinions on the best way to balance my legs out. The rest of my body is relatively proportionate. The difference is significant enough to make my pants fit uncomfortably on my right side, and it is noticable by sight depending on what I am wearing. Thanks for your help!

this has been discussed before. your best bet is to start training your legs unilaterally. by this i mean train each leg individually, starting with your weaker one. only MATCH the training of your stronger limb to that of the weaker one, so it will more or less maintain what is there as the weaker leg builds up. some example exercises would be one legged squats, one leg extensions, one leg lying ham curls, one leg presses, etc.

Thanks a lot. I couldn't find anything while I was searching yesterday, but, of course I found related topics today. I would not have thought to use the same weight and reps on both legs, and this info helps tremendously! Thanks again!
