Well i'll answer this, but you need to rerad the forums 1st....powerlifting and strength traing ( the real ones) don't care about defination...its about weight and getting it up.

You don't "build" defination......if you wanna be cut.....then drop the fat. Do some cardio, keep up the weights, drop the calories.

**NOTE*** you must be happy at your muscler size and or strength to "cut" you won't get much strength or any size gains.....while cutting"

You say you have been working out every other day. Well aside from this being the wrong forum, We need to know what you HAVE been doing.
I need a little more then "working out" to give suggestions.
Working out has many meanings for me- grappling, rockclimbing, weightlifting, powerlifting, tabata, running, HIIT, kettlebells, strong man (god i love my sled), etc.

Guys, thanks for the tips, definately some stuff for me to think of. I could probably do with adding a little size before I focus on cutting. When I say I've been working out every other day - im talking 6k run to start, then basic weights. I'll re-read the forums, but while im here, do you know where i can get some good diet info if im looking to add the weight?

Your helps great - thanks guys.

I would seperate the run and the weights. Also, a 6k run may not be productive to your weight loss goals. HIIT cardio would be better. Do your running and the weightlifting either on seperate days or seperate times.

Also, what kind of weight program are you on?
