Lucus, I am not sure of your age as you don't have a profile. But I, too, had the same question. I was about 40lbs overweight and lost it all. I lifted 6 times a week as well as a lot of cardio and proper diet. I lost much "size" to my muscles but the loss was really just fat anyway. What ended up happening was my muscles toned up. I look a lot more ripped which looks better than big, fat muscles. I would suggest losing the weight with proper diet, cardio, and weight lifting. When you get to the point where you are satisfied with your weight, then increase the good calories and lift like heck. This will ensure you gain muscle more than fat. It has been said that to gain a lot of muscle mass quickly, you will gain fat as well. However, if you take it slower you will get the same muscle results without the unwanted fat. Hope this helps. Good luck and happy training.

lawnguy - that's one of the best answers I've seen to that question and also some of the best advice and it's obvious you've "been there done that". A lot of people go on mass programs and wind up with more body fat than they started with. You can do both but it takes a PERFECT diet and a perfect workout schedule.

Hey Mike. Yes I have been there and done that. I have struggled for years with how to work out and what to eat. I finally, in the last 8 months, got it. Lucus, if you work out with intensity, eat proper, and cardio, the body you want will come! It will not be without hard work, but if you are willing to put forth the effort, the world can be yours. Stay the course and good luck.
Mike- Pensacola? You lucky dog!!!!
