I know this has been sort of asked before but I have found some conflicting information about it.

Im in a stage between maintaining and bulking up, and was thinking of buying this MRP "lean mass matrix" (about 400cal so probably will take half a serving with milk) and take it say an hour or so before bed (since a meal is not very welcome late at night for me).

I just wanted to know if it is a NO-NO to drink an MRP like that before bed?????

I just wanted to know if before bed an MRP is superior than just taking a protein only shake???

Eat some cottage cheese or get casien protein. Either will be digested slowly and work better for bed time.

i would not suggest taking that before bed.. you dont need the carbohydrates, as they will just typically be stored as fat when you sleep. try to cut carbs a few hours before bed.. like charlie said, cottage cheese, yogurt, milk, nuts.. something high in casein protein is best, as it will break down slowly overnight and help build muscle.

as an added bonus, the cottage cheese before bed has been making me dream in mad technicolor.. :)
