My gym is going to be offering pilates soon and I'm thinking of taking the class one or two nights per week. The problem is that I'm not sure I want to give up my precious cardio/weight schedule to do it. I've finally got things the way I want them with my routine and if I do pilates I'll have to redo the whole thing. But if it's worth it.... Do you guys have any input?

I do pilates three times weekly. It is very beneficial in strengtheing your core(abs, back). I usually schedule it on my lifting days and do it afterwards.

Good luck!

I think Pilates are very benificial, however, if you've just got your workout routine the way you like it, I'd suggest sticking with it for 4-8 weeks. It'll be time for a change by then, so add in some Pilates at that time. Personally, I do my wieghts or cardo over my lunch hour and then have a Pilates class 1 evening/week...works for me! It's all a matter of fitting things into your schedule within reason.

I did pilates or "writhing" for a while. It nearly killed me. I quit.
