Can anyone explain supersets? Keep seeing references about them but no explanation.

Doing a super set is when you do 2 (rarely 3) of two different exercises back to back with no rest in between, then a rest after the two.
For example: Shoulder press followed immediately by lateral raises, followed by rest before going back to the presses.
