Welcome to FT wrlsmngr. The best thing you can do is get informed first then ask more specific questions. There's a wealth of information and people willing to help. Browse the various forums and then set short term goals. The best thing I can advise is to set realistic goals. Take some realistic body measurements and shoot for the next size down. Forget the weight scale but line up your diet and sign up for one of FT's programs. They do work as 100's of people can attest.

Welcome aboard Wrlsmngr. Congratulations on making the decision to change your lifestyle.
I strongly recomend you try the weight loss and definition program on here. It works. If you can get into a gym all the better, you can get familiar with the equipment with a free session from thier trainer. You will start to feel the results within the the first 5-10 days of your new regime.
Go for it. Do take all of your measurements before you start and re-measure after 3 weeks. Good luck and keep us posted.
