i try and keep my diet as additive free as possible, as close to the foods natural state as possible. I hate the thought of using supplements, protein shakes, creatine, etc. Does anyone else feel this way?

thig is kalanchoe, protein shakes and creatine are nothing out of the ordinary, our body produces and metabolizes them already. people who take supplements are just topping off these stores to achieve maximum potential.

I just want to avoid anything artificial, for example, right now I am eating cucumber, raw carrots, wholewheat pasta and hummous, and I'm not happy about the paste and hummous because it will have some additives, even just things like preservatives - that's the extent I want to avoid additives.
I'm not getting at anyone who uses supplements, just wondered if anyone was actively choosing not to use them.
It's not the supplement as much as the other stuff in there, the e numbers etc.

Although I use supps, I must say that I still believe that you are making a wise choice, but remember that some supplements such as basic vitamins and maybe even some protein can sometimes be more of a neccesity than a want! If you are training hard your body will need something to just keep it on top shape and replace all the vitamins and minerals.

I have never used any supplements of any kind but I don't go as far as you. I still eat most anything that might be good for me and some things that aren't. I have a sweet tooth. I keep telling myself sugars are bad but can't seem to stay away from them for too long.

As long as you're getting enough protein without supplements, more power to you. As for me, I have a hard time getting 145g of protein without eating chicken and beef and tuna for every single snack and meal.
