Are your ears any better now? As a musician tinnitus is one of the scariest things for me, wear your plugs!

I'm a firm believer that the human body is fully capable of reversing disease and dysfunction...even hearing loss.
When a hunter comes back from a week in the quiet wilderness, his hearing is far more sensitive is it not.
Or when someone becomes blind, what is one of the first senses to enhance?
How are these events possible if the hairs in the ear are damaged and can never be repaired? If vision can be corrected naturally, then why not hearing?
Just pondering....

i am wearing my earplugs now for every practice, no matter how low we keep it, it really is a scarey thing to happen to me, i paid ALOT of money for some decent ones. i reckoned it could right itself, but those in the know say its permanent. so i dunno mate.

:(
I've had tinnitis since I was twenty two, due to being punched in the ear. It never went away... I now have hearing aids, and am used to the constant ringing, but for a long time I really had trouble dealing with it.. I reccomend seeing a hearing specialist to make sure it isn't repairable...and getting hearing aids sooner rather than later. I missed a lot of cool sounds due to being too embarassed to be seen wearing hearing aids..
