Not trying to put you off but you need to help yourself by becoming informed before someone can sit here and write volumes about what you need to do. Check out the Diet and Nutrition forum on here - a ton of info. Figure out what your food intake is and then decide that you're going to knock off what hasn't worked for you. Go on to the Nutrition Plan and start from there. It's definitely something that can be done but it won't be done overnight. Target what you want to do and ask specific questions and there will be more advice than you can take. :)

I like to rotate my carbs. Day one 20-50 grams, day two 100 grams and day three 200grams of GOOD low glycemic carbs. I use B2B bars found on Bodybuilding.com for convince and work-out 4-5 days a week. Hope that helps someone out in fitness world.

WOW...crbalk...you're 6'9"????
batman...first fill out your profile and you'll find you get more responses. Otherwise track your diet for a week or two...either here or at www.fitday.com. Regardless of whatever diet you're trying to do it all comes down to Calories in/calories out. Track it for a few weeks and cut back about 200-300 calories a day each week till you start to see loss. Protein is good for stroking the metabolism, but again it's only useful if you're not getting excessive calories to begin with....5000 calories is 5000 calories no matter what it consists.

that sounds weird...let me clarify...cut back 200-300 calories from your daily intake, if no results then the next week cut another 200-300 more. Don't drop much below 1500 calories...at your weight I would be hesitant to go below 2000 calories right now. But whatever you cut, do it slowly or else you're shock your body and cause it to store fat...which would be counter productive.
