I am going to try and get to the gym for my cardio in the AM but right now I do my work outs at night around 7:00pm I go to bed around 11:00-12:00. I try and eat my dinner after my work out is that ok. I do this to tone down the late night munchies :) But what would be a great pre work out meal? Would half my protein drink work? Then drink the other half after my work out?

I have a fairly similar schedule to yours but I find it better to eat a light meal about 45 minutes before working out and I have more than enough energy. I follow the workout with a plain protein and water drink and satisfy the muchies with a very small handfull of nuts and cottage cheese before going to bed. May not work for you since your profile isn't filled out and I don't know what your goal is.

I eat dinner about 1 hr before working out, then I have a protein drink mixed with skim milk and either a banana or some other type of sugary fruit (to replace simple carbs). My dinners usually consist of things like fish or maybe pork tenderloin (4 oz), non starchy veggies like beans or broccoli, and brown rice cooked with low sodium chicken broth for some flavor (no butter).
