'midlife crisis thingy'...you have a heart of a poet....I could swear you alternate on this account with your middle school son/daughter....

Sports car and a mistress....hmmm...guess having a mistress older than you doesn't fit the bill though...oh well the sports car would have been fun:big_smile:
Mid life "crisis" no way....I think these are the best years, kids are more independent, time to workout and play golf, good job(after 20yrs I pretty much set my own pace), etc. etc.....Could use a sports car though!

My 'kids' are all animals, and thank god for that, I'm the type that would forget I had them and left them at chuckie cheese or something.

Give your wife a ig hug and tell her your in love with her! You might not need the Mistress as she might want to do some roll playing! The sports car is only material! The novelty will wear off! But if you can afford it, why not?

lol....yooper you devil you....
I think 40s is a great period to assess(self reflect) one's life and see the things you have achieved vs things you always wanted to achieve...things that haven't worked out....things that you still want to accomplish and so forth....past is past and no point crying over spilled milk...however there are always things you can learn....especially from mistakes......then ponder over the things you still want to achieve and how you will approach them....40s are the new 30s....as humans we're living longer and are more informed...

This can be an issue at the best of times so being in our forties is quite the transition. YES?
Being in shape helps and being able to speak from my living experiences gives me a feeling of wisdom, not age. As far as dealing with the face getting older that can be scary. I know that aging gracefully is how the saying goes, so I'll keep praciticing.
