Just curious if anyone can give suggestions on good exercises to improve strength in knees and quads. I think my legs are the most strong but yet when I'm doing certain... um....er...activities that require an up and down motion..ahem...they feel like cement when I straighten up!

I think you need my "perospnal" assistance on this, so when is good for you?

My just be joints stiffing up( sorry for the pun) i'd work on the flexablitly of those joints. Which could come in more handy later and give the knees a rest:big_smile:

Least your ham doesn't cramp up.....

Thanks for the insightful suggestions...:surprised:

Which exercise do you think will do more in the long run...plie squats, lunges, or squats with a ball or wall behind?

Any type of squats or lunges will help. These will help strengthen both your quads and hamstrings. Using a ball on a wall behind for squats will help maintain good form. You want to go as far down as a 90degree bend in your knees and make sure with both squats and lunges that your knees do not extend past your feet! If you use bad form, you'll only end up hurting your knees more!! Walking lunges work great as well.

Don't just stick with one... rotate them... do one for a while, then switch it up after a couple of weeks...
