It isn't just eating vegetables that makes you lose weight :) An overall balanced diet and exercise...
Unfortunately sometimes we have to do things we don't like because it is good for us. Are there any veggies you like? You have a kid...Now is the time to set a good example and start eating those veggies...raw, cooked, juice, however...There are a lot of ways to make them...roast them in the oven, grill them, steam, stirfry, make a soup/stew....bite the veggie and just do it
aroig...I was the same way as you less then a year ago. Now I eat a salad a day and veggies on my lunch (usually a sandwich that I make), and veggies at dinner (broccoli, green beans, etc).
For me they really were an aquired taste...my biggest problem was always the texture with them. Start eating salads with fat free dressing...as you get used to the texture try to cut back on the dressing more and more until you get to the point where you use very little if any dressing (even the fat free can be high on sugars). Try that out over a couple of months and you should be fine.
Eating things you don't like is just as important as stopping eating things you do like. The hardest part is making the commitment and sticking to it. No one said this is easy...but it can be done if you want it to.
