I am new to the community, so I am just starting to get into this, but here it goes.
I am a 32 yo WM living in the Baltimore area, and would consider myself to be relatively fit, but I have certainly been in better shape. I take Aikido ~3 times/week, which is great for working my leg muscles, but isn't much for CV (my beer gut). The main thing that I need to do is lose the beer gut and get in better CV shape.
My wife is also in a similar situation, and because we have different schedules it is easy for us to both slack off.
At home we have available to us a high-end elliptical trainer and a Bowflex, as well as a heavy bag, speed bag and a ab-roller.
What I would like to do is come up with a plan that we can work out together on the above equipment so that we can encourage each other and talk, but not get in each others way, so maybe we alternate days of lifting and CV. Also, we can mix in hikes, bikes, etc.
Anybody in a similar situation? Maybe we can help each other.
