Figuring out calories of a meal

Ok so I put a dish together but I have NO clue how to figure out calories of this dish. Can someone tell me how to do it?

Well there are many ways. The simplest for me is an on-line nutrition calculator, in which you find the type of food in your meal, set how much of it you ate and it calculates all the info for you. You can find one for free on atkins.com or e-diets.com. You need to make sure you know preciously what and how much you’re eating for any calorie counting to work.

I am confused as well.. When I cook I put "some of this, some of that" .. how the heck you exactly how to calculate that???? I cook a big pot of food for the week.. how do I break that down????:angry:

There is a place on this site where you can track your meals. If you cant find what you are looking for exactly you can just break the food down. For example if you make a fajita and it is not on the list you can add the amount of chicken you ate, cheese, tortilla, etc. I think this way works pretty well. If you make a pot of food just break that down too veggies, meets, and whatever else you put in. Hope this helps.
